As a Freelance Designer, I have had the privilege of creating and developing the websites of two establishments of the “El Escondite” group, specifically “El Escondite de Villanueva” and “El Escondite de Chamartín”. These restaurants are authentic gems located in Madrid, Spain, and offer international cuisine gastronomic experiences in an elegant and relaxed environment throughout the day.

“El Escondite de Villanueva” has been a benchmark in Madrid for more than 22 years, and my task was to create a website that reflected its prestige and sophistication. On the other hand, “El Escondite de Chamartín” opened its doors in October, and the challenge was to ensure that people associated them and maintained the same essence. 

Both websites share an essential similarity, using a palette of soft colors and pastel tones, which adapts perfectly to the interiors of both restaurants without the need for modifications, maintaining the connection between them.

My approach as a designer was to create modern and elegant websites that conveyed the unique atmosphere of each restaurant. The choice of colors and design was fundamental to ensure that online visitors got a clear idea of what they can expect when visiting these special places.

In addition, as part of my work as a Freelance Designer, I also had the challenge of integrating the image that had previously been generated on their Instagram accounts into the design of the websites. This ensured visual coherence and a unified experience for visitors, which contributed to strengthening the brand identity of El Escondite online and offline.
